What is Post Tensioning?

Post-tensioning is an advanced and efficient technology method of Reinforcing concrete or other materials with high strength steel strands or bars referred to as tendons. Post tension slabs typically have less cracking and less permeability when detailed properly.

Post tension allows longer clear spans, thinner slabs, fewer beams and more slender elements. Thinner slab means less concrete is required.

A broken cable can be pulled and replaced.

Benefit of Post Tension slab?

Shoring and formwork can be removed as soon as the tendons are stressed; this shortens the construction cycle by having faster access to the floors below.

What is Rebar?

Rebar is steel reinforcing bars used as a tensioning device to reinforce concrete. Rebar increases the strength of the structure. Used for concrete & structural support.
